11.29.24 This is at least my 5th visit, and I love it here. There's always something new. There's always something traditional, and there's always comfort food. The coffee is hot, and the desserts are amazing. Today, we tried the bison burger, the turkey avocado sandwich, the carrot cake, and my fave, the peanut pie. Indoor and outdoor dining (weather permitting) You walk up and order your food, get your own coffee/tea and they bring you your food to your table.
Cute, reasonably priced, conveniently located, would love to come back and try other items in the menu.
We had lunch here at about 2 pm. Many people there but not crowded. The sandwiches were well prepared and good. Eating area was both inside and outside. The parking lot is gravel so outside contends with dust. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Service was quick and friendly. It’s a good place for a quick lunch.
What a coffee shop! The entire atmosphere is quintessential to how a coffee shop/cafe should include. The food menu is extensive, featuring quesadillas and grilled items, and the coffee menu, though on the smaller side, has plenty to offer. I purchased half of the chicken sandwich, a cup of the clam chowder and a latte with a maple syrup shot. The sandwich was delicious but the chowder was heavenly! The latte was fantastic, not too sweet and my wife got a hot chocolate, which was rich and delectable. VB was definitely worth visiting and I would highly recommend!
The first time we went to The Vanilla Bean Cafe was a couple of years ago. We stopped here to grab some dinner while we were out for a cruise in the Camaro. There were lots of motorcycles, which was not surprising given the area is nice to drive/ride through. Anyway, the place has a relaxed atmosphere. There are many great food options on the menu. I went with the Steak Dinner and the Mrs. had a Steak Caesars Salad. They use just the right amount of dressing on it. We both hate when places drown the salads in too much dressing. I had a locally made Root Beer soda and the wife had a glass of wine and a cup of Ginger Lemonade. Both of our meals were very good. They were from the Specials board. We split a Blueberry Cheesecake for dessert. I had a coffee, and she enjoyed a hot chocolate with raspberry flavor. We returned here today (10/22/2023) and I tried the Pot Pie special. It was good, but not very pie like. It was more of a pot pie stew, and a block of bread that was essential pie crust. It came with a Caesar Salad. The wife enjoyed a bowl of chili. Once again, everything was good. The staff was great. They seemed young, but very enthusiastic in doing their jobs. I found them to be friendly, engaging, and helpful. This seems to be consistent from what I have seen when we come here.
I like to stop in here whenever. I'm in the area visiting my accounts. The place has a lot of charm and everyone is super friendly. Food is great too.
5/17 First time visit and I loved everything! Cute and sweet place. Had the chicken Caesar salad. Excellent. Like the operation of the service. Staff was nice, friendly.Family members had been prior. Rave reviews.
Delicious food! Today I got the dumplings off of the dinner specials menu, but all their offerings are delicious. My favorite of all time has been their lunch special pesto mac and cheese love the couches and the rotating art on the walls!
